A R.E.A.C.H. volunteer is knowledgeable of the legal options open to women who have been assaulted. Each volunteer is familiar with both the civil and criminal remedies available and shares this information with the client. The volunteer is also aware of the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault and can educate the victim about the cycle of violence, the continuum of violence and the part that violence plays in a relationship built on power and control.
