Rape Crisis Companion
R.E.A.C.H. provides a crisis companion for victims of sexual assault. A crisis companion stays with the victim throughout the entire process of going to the hospital, filing criminal charges, accompaning the victim to court, assisting with crisis counseling, and providing emotional support.
Emergency Shelter
For women andchildren who find they need a safe haven in order to get a new start after an abusive situation.
Individual & Group Counseling
R.E.A.C.H. offers free and totally confidential counseling services for all ages.
Court Advocate
R.E.A.C.H. provides a court advocate to help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault through every step of the legal process.
Legal Aid Referral
R.E.A.C.H. will also make referrals to legal aid in cases where an attorney is needed to assist in an emergency situation.

R.E.A.C.H. To Offer Volunteer Training
October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and REACH of Macon County would like to invite you to our upcoming volunteer training sessions. These trainings will focuses on the dynamics of domestic violence, sexual assault, and crisis counseling. This will be a 20-hour training. Each training date will cover different topics. The dates of these trainings will be Monday, October 19 thru Friday, October 23rd from 1:00pm-4:00pm., at our office located at 1895 Old Murphy Road.

REACH of Macon County, the domestic violence and sexual assault agency within our community, would like your assistance in completing a survey that will help the agency better determine the attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors of Macon County residents, aged 45 or older, towards sexual violence.

WHAT DEFINES DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, RAPE & CHILD ABUSE?
Domestic Violence can be defined as a pattern of assaultive and coercive behavior between two people in an intimate relationship – including couples who are married or unmarried. Types of abuse can include physical, emotional, social, economic, sexual and spiritual.
Sexual assault is unwanted sexual contact that stops short of rape or attempted rape. This includes sexual touching and fondling.
Rape is forced sexual intercourse.
Child Abuse can be defined as a non-accidental injury or pattern of injuries to a child.
