R.E.A.C.H. Shelter One Step Closer!
Building a new shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault just became closer to a reality for REACH who serves the citizens of Macon and Jackson Counties. So many survivors and their children will be able to benefit from this new shelter for many, many years to come.
With the new awarded amount of $700,000 from the NC Housing Finance Agency, we have been able to fulfill the $1.2million needed to make this dream a reality. None of this would be possible without the wonderful support of community members like you. While we have raised the needed funds to erect this new home of hope, we still need your support. Fundraising will continue for the shelter in order for us to secure the many needed things that come along with a project of this size such as: security fencing, playground equipment, furnishings, and much more. We will be breaking ground in May, 2015 so stay tuned to our website and Facebook pages for more information to come! |
A BIG THANK YOU to the NC Housing Finance Agency for helping make this project possible!
R.E.A.C.H. is excited to announce our new "Capital Campaign" to build a new shelter!
"Building a shelter to build a better community..."
R.E.A.C.H. of Macon County provides the only shelter for domestic and sexual violence victims and their children for both Macon and Jackson counties and is the only shelter within a 45 minute radius. REACH's existing shelter can no longer provide enough space to accommodate our communities needs as we have been at capacity for more than seventeen months, turning away countless families in need.
Therefore, we invite you to check out the information on this page, and if you'd like to show your support, feel free to consider a donation today!
Stay tuned to this page for more updates and announcements as we move forward in making this dream come true...
